Making the Case for Wallace.
Cason Wallace, a Dynamic guard from Kentucky with a history of Prolific Guards, looks lottery bound.
Once upon a time, there was a (BOOK) it had all the answers you just needed a basketball (IQ) to understand it. Most people read the book Against the (Wall) the only SCHOOL club that took advantage of this book was the (SGA) they were agile and checked this book out quickly; they swiped it as fast as (Fox) because the reader can (MAXEY-mize) their potential for success because everyone from (Monks and Herros) from different (TOWNS) used this knowledge [Coach Cal secrets to NBA success].
Ahh, that was just a little hip-hop story intro with players from The University of Kentucky; even though the mascot is a wild cat, the players from the UK are from a different breed… DAWG, no Georgia.
Enter Cason Wallace. I'm a believer in the 6’4 Guard who can do it on both ends. In every game I watched Cason’s motor was better than everyone on the floor. Cason said something during his predraft interview with me that sent the lightbulb in my head booming. Wallace, essentially said, everyone in the NBA can score but what separates you is “Defense.” 🔒
“I can’t control if the ball goes in, I can't control what the refs call but I can control my effort on defense.” - Johnny Davis
If you let guys talk long enough they will reveal their true passions. Yes the NBA on a surface level is score.
Cason Wallace is a willing defender. The tape doesn't lie. Hustle & Heart are things you can't teach and Cason has both, this was John Wall-esque as well.

While I did not get to see the full workout I was able to clip together some film. I watched Cason for about 11 minutes. 7 of those minutes consisted of being present and watching him work out the footage you'll see is me getting his workout. You can't judge too much from a workout because guys are flying from City TEW City; fatigue, tired legs, and an off day are little things the casual fan might not see, but all play factors.
You'll hear commentary from me. This is one of “my guys” when it comes to prospects I like. It doesn't matter if he is drafted to the Wizards or whoever I want to see the Cat (Homie) do well.
The University of KENTUCKY has had elite guard play come from the school and I believe Cason follows that mold. I don't want to talk for him so you will hear our one-on-one interview that solidified why he is a TOP player in this 2023 Class.
Sometimes your eye test, sta, and hearing certain buzzwords confirmed everything I needed to know about Cason Wallace.
Why am I so high on Cason?
Shooting (WIZARDS NEED)
Age/PG of the future
Defensive-minded Gritty Guard
Did I mention shooting? He shot .44% as a freshman that's good.
The best ability in the NBA is Availibity and he played 32 games.
Pro Style environment/ offense. (Mature)
He does a little bit of everything, and that's perfect; he has many areas of his game that are foundational and can be built on. Not too many prospects can say that have multiple talents, and he is sneaky ATHLETIC.
I like Monte, Jordan, and Delon because all Guards have different games and Cason would bring value to the group learning from guys who came through the G League, you get a new level of love for the game down there!
